Christmas In The Streets

On December 19th the 3rd Annual Christmas In The Streets Outreach took place in downtown Martinsburg. Community members gathered to serve a hot meal, hand out Christmas stockings filled with socks, hats and gloves. Blankets and non-perishable food items were provided as well. Even though the temperature was unkind, several people came together to help, give out the packed stockings and listen to live music. We thank the community members who came together to make Christmas special for those in need.

Friends and contributors to Miburg were there to document the Christmas In The Streets event. A big “Thank You” goes to Katie Autumn Beck for taking these pictures and to Kyra Soleil for making the video, which you can watch below.

We are always looking for people to contribute. If you’re a writer, photographer, artist or someone with an idea that you want to share with the community, contact us. As we rapidly approach 2016, we hope more community members will reach out and work with us to re-brand and shape our town.

We wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
